Parent involvement.

NYFACS is working closely with parents in order to get proper support at home for the children’s school work. There are regular communication between home and school through phone calls, interim reports, parent meetings, grade meetings, Parents Association, invitations to presentations by the children, and the Heritage program. Parents will also be asked to help teach the heritage culture of their original countries.

PTO

NYFACS has a Parents Teachers Organizarion (PTO) that will support parents in communicating with the school, provide events for families and, in general, help create an environment where parents are a part of the school community. The PTO will include teachers and parents. The PTO’s primary goal is to involve families and the community in productive ways so that all students reach important educational goals for learning and success.
