Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are gearing up for an exciting year of LACASA @ NYFACS. We will be offering both full and flexible programming with a
mix of academic and extracurricular enrichment activities. Our program has something to offer everyone!
A parent orientation will be held at your school during the start of the 2011–2012 academic school year. The date and time
will be made available to you as soon as possible. Childcare will be provided.
Please complete and return the attached enrollment and registration forms as soon as possible. Slots will fill up quickly!
Registration is on a first-come first-served basis.
LACASA Afterschool program offers a variety of enrichment activities and homework help to children from kindergarten
through third grade. Our program is open to both full time and flexible program students. Full time students are offered a
comprehensive afterschool program, which includes dance, art, games, homework help, science, sports and more. Flexible
Program students can select individual enrichment activities based on their interest. See the attached schedule.
Who May Register?
LACASA Afterschool classes are open to NYFACS students only. The program follows the NYC public school schedule.
Classes run on a Two-Semester Basis; from September to December and January to June.

Applications must be brought to the school. We accept applications on a first-come first-served basis, so we ask that you
send in your application as soon as possible. We will maintain a waiting list and try to accommodate students as slots
become available.
A Typical Day at LACASA
4:30PM-4:50PM — Children meet in the cafeteria. Children have supervised supper/snack.
4:50PM-5:35PM — First period activities begins
5:35PM — 5:45PM – Flexible program students are dismissed from the cafeteria, or held for late pickup.
5:35–6:20PM – Second period activities begins
6:20PM-6:30PM — Full-time students are dismissed from the cafeteria.
